DexData: Savagshade come out of their burrows only at night to hunt and absorb the moon-filtered sunlight(moonlight) for energy. The light it absorbs if filled with nutrition, able to be processed like any plant, and energy is also stored in it's translucent white tail to be routed to other parts of it's body in for use in such things like powering it's glowing eyes for sight in the perpetually dark system of underground tunnels and drawing energy for use in "nature" attacks such as Nature Tail, Nature Claw, or Nature Force-(one plant type's most powerful attacks).

It has a reputation of being very fierce and easily aggravated. Even Ursaring stay clear of Savagshade territory at night. Few pokemon will challenge Savageshade out right, among them are Blazbearn, Gyarados, and Tyrannitar. In addition to it's Nature powers it also is one of the few pokemon that can make use of the Arrow Leaf attack and takes it further with a devastating barrage of Rocket Leaf. The tentacles on it's nose give it an extra sense to read the changes in the air-some say it is able to sense lost spirits with the tentacles and when it's eyes light up, it can see them.
